Platform role
BarqFix operates a marketplace that helps customers discover, book and communicate with independent maintenance companies. Unless a booking expressly states otherwise, the selected provider—not BarqFix—performs the inspection, repair and warranty work.
Accounts and acceptable use
You must provide accurate information, protect your login credentials and use the platform only for lawful service requests. Automated abuse, fraud, harassment, false bookings and attempts to bypass platform security are prohibited.
Bookings, estimates and payment
Prices shown as fixed apply to the described scope. Inspection-based services may require a separate quote after diagnosis. Parts, additional labour or work outside the selected scope require customer approval before proceeding.
The booking record, approved quote and invoice form the transaction record. Taxes and platform or provider fees are displayed where applicable.
Cancellation and refunds
A provider or platform cancellation receives a full refund, including the platform fee. A customer cancellation before provider confirmation, or within the displayed free-cancellation period before dispatch, also receives a full refund.
After confirmation, the platform fee disclosed at checkout may be retained. A cancellation within two hours of the appointment or after dispatch may also incur the provider-compensation percentage and cap shown before confirmation. The immutable booking disclosure controls. Exceptional cases may be reviewed, and these rules do not limit mandatory consumer rights.
Service quality and disputes
Providers must hold required UAE licences, describe services accurately and honour the warranty stated in the booking or quote. Customers should inspect completed work and normally report an issue within 48 hours; warranty and mandatory legal rights continue beyond that operational target where applicable.
Opening a dispute pauses provider settlement while BarqFix reviews the booking record and supplied evidence. BarqFix may facilitate communication and take proportionate marketplace action, but this does not replace rights available under UAE consumer law.
Liability and changes
Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, BarqFix is not responsible for indirect losses or for provider acts outside the platform’s reasonable control.
We may update these terms for legal, security or service changes. Material updates will be dated and published on this page.
